Here’s the sick left-handed jam over Kristic:
Without a Blake highlight, other than a career high 9 assists and another near triple-double, we skipped over Saturday’s game against the Nuggets and jumped straight into last nights Clippers win over the Bobcats full of 3 quality Blake highlights.
First up was his 2-hand putback of the Chris Kaman miss:
To start the 3rd quarter the “Mo-Quake” connection hooked up for this easy looking alley-oop:
But the best was this “Mo-Quake” oop on the fastbreak in the 2nd quarter. You gotta love how easy it is for these guys to connect:
Blake has just one quality highlight last night but the Clippers got the win and he continued to show good chemistry with his new point guard Mo Williams. Not to mention Eric Gordon is back baby!
Here was the Mo-Quake connection from last night off the pick-and-roll:
As you may have seen over the weekend, we’ve got a new member of the QuakeGriffin.com team that we are super excited to have on board with us.
Max Frishberg is an aspiring video editor in L.A. and a hoops junkie in his spare time. Lucky for us he combines his immense video editing talents with his love for hoops to put together some of the best NBA mixes you can find anywhere on Youtube. (For those who don’t believe me I offer up this incredible Dwyane Wade montage he did.)
Max has put together what I would consider the best Blake Griffin highlight montage video you’ll find as a “Welcome to QuakeGriffin.com” on Youtube.
Sit back and enjoy the minute long chills you’ll get from this one and be sure to subscribe to the Youtube page via the link at the end of the video:
Another tough Clippers loss for Blake but the good news is it looks like Mo Williams is going to fit in just fine…
Damn that was a nice dime.
Mo is even comfortable with Blake’s signature “Blornado” spin-move in the post alley-oop. Here it is executed to perfection:
And last but not least was this sick fastbreak alley-oop lob:
Shall we start calling this the “Mo-Quake”?
It’s about time they rewarded him with some love on T.V.
Here’s the Subway spot you may have already seen:
And here’s the brand new Kia spot with some awesome footage of his now famous through-the-sun-roof-Baron-to-Blake-alley-oop-over-the-Optima-dunk. (My favorite part is watching him plant his left foot and seeing how close he comes to the car.)
So who’s going to be driving there new Optima to Subway for breakfast?
Well you’ve all heard by now that our beloved Beard&Blake combo is no more.
We’re sad to see both Baron and the resurrection of his career have been shipped off to die in Cleveland. We are excited to see Mo Williams, along with the return of Eric Gordon hopefully soon, spread the floor out even more for Blake. Not to mention Eric Bledsoe seems to have learned just enough from Baron before he was traded away.
I bet Baron Davis never thought his last pass to Blake Griffin would be through a sunroof #wontneedasunroofincleveland
In other news we have our own “trade” to announce here at QuakeGriffin.com.
On his way out is Mike Robinson aka @MrKnowledgeBomb who unfortunately has to move on due to the good old “real world” covering to much of his plate. He’s been great to have on board for the past month or so and a number of the cool Quake T-Shirts were from his creative mind. Hopefully he’ll find his way back here someday down the road. His new Twitter handle is @TheMikeRobinson and you’ll find him tweeting about his beloved Blazers most of the time.
On his way in, we are excited to announce that video editing wizard Maxamillion711, who you more likely know for his excellent work recently running TheBlakeGriffinShow Youtube page, is coming aboard as the official QuakeGriffin.com video editor. We’ll be launching a new QuakeGriffin youtube page sometime next week, which will be the place to go as soon as Blake throws down another “Quake.”
Lastly if any of you QuakeGriffin.com fans out there have an interest in joining the team here as a “highlight blogger” shoot me an e-mail at quakegriffin[at]gmail[dot]com or drop me a line in the comments.
Blake had another highlight filled night against the Hornets on Wednesday night.
It started out with this nifty “Blornado” spin-move reverse with some extra “english” on it to spin it in off the glass:
Next he got warmed up with this two-hand jam off a nice pass from Randy Foye:
A great dime by Eric Bledsoe on this bounce pass backdoor to Blake:
Another nice pass from Foye sets up a great double-clutch Blake two-hander:

Now the Clippers need to get back to translating Blake’s dominance into wins!
Blake returned home to Oklahoma last night to take on the Thunder and needless to say he had Thunder fans salivating over the idea of him returning to play for his home state team in 2014.
Blake got it started early with this “Blornado’ alley-oop:
Next up Eric Bledsoe still needs to learn to “just throw it up there” when Blake is on the roll. This time it didn’t matter as Blake cleaned up the mess:
Then Blake had this amazing reverse lay-up in the 3rd quarter. Mike Smith thinks it’s Blake top 5 worthy. I’m not sure about top 5 but it may find itself in the top 10. Just shows how incredibly athletic he is.
Las but certainly not least was yet another “Blornado” Alley-Oop this time a Beard+Blake hook up where Blake almost kisses the rim on the jam. This one might be in the top 10 too. Watch how he catches it laying back and sideways
Blake simply destroyed the competition tonight with thunderous dunk after thunderous dunk. LA is gonna feel tremors for days that’s for sure as all four Sprite Slam Dunk contestants brought it for the first time in as many years as I can recount. Seriously, this dunk contest was amazing and as videos are made available we’ll post them here. Before Blake’s highlights below, a quick recap on the other contestants.
Now for the champ.
Arguably his best dunk Blake opened up with a 360 double cock hammer. Ouch.
Dunk #2 carried on with the theme of the season – Blake helping to rejuvenate Baron Davis’ career. You’d think Baron would take advantage of this opportunity but almost blew this dunk for the whole world. Luckily Blake is Blake.
Dunk #3 could possibly not be pulled of by any other current NBA player. Not only did Blake top Vince Carter 2000. He destroyed it. The self-alley-oop is difficult enough. Then Blake had to go and do this….the best part is when he later shows all the players on the sideline the new bruises on this elbow.
Dunk #4 was hyped on Twitter hours before the actual contest and I didn’t believe it would happen. Oh it happened alright. Blake took the D Howard theatrics to another level – the video speaks for itself.
