The Trade Deadline: Both the Clippers and QuakeGriffin.com Get Busy

Well you’ve all heard by now that our beloved Beard&Blake combo is no more.

The Clippers moved Baron to the Cavs along with this years 1st rounder in exchange for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon.

We’re sad to see both Baron and the resurrection of his career have been shipped off to die in Cleveland. We are excited to see Mo Williams, along with the return of Eric Gordon hopefully soon, spread the floor out even more for Blake. Not to mention Eric Bledsoe seems to have learned just enough from Baron before he was traded away.

@robinlundberg – Robin Lundberg:

I bet Baron Davis never thought his last pass to Blake Griffin would be through a sunroof #wontneedasunroofincleveland

In other news we have our own “trade” to announce here at QuakeGriffin.com.

On his way out is Mike Robinson aka @MrKnowledgeBomb who unfortunately has to move on due to the good old “real world” covering to much of his plate. He’s been great to have on board for the past month or so and a number of the cool Quake T-Shirts were from his creative mind. Hopefully he’ll find his way back here someday down the road. His new Twitter handle is @TheMikeRobinson and you’ll find him tweeting about his beloved Blazers most of the time.

On his way in, we are excited to announce that video editing wizard Maxamillion711, who you more likely know for his excellent work recently running TheBlakeGriffinShow Youtube page, is coming aboard as the official QuakeGriffin.com video editor. We’ll be launching a new QuakeGriffin youtube page sometime next week, which will be the place to go as soon as Blake throws down another “Quake.”

Lastly if any of you QuakeGriffin.com fans out there have an interest in joining the team here as a “highlight blogger” shoot me an e-mail at quakegriffin[at]gmail[dot]com or drop me a line in the comments.

Ok everyone, for those of you die hards that have been stopping by the site you may have seen a few iterations of the new design on the blog over the last week. The good news is we’ve finally got one that works well for the site.

We are also happy to announce that we are now officially an affiliate of the BigLeadSports network.

Finally we couldn’t be more excited because it’s going to be a great week to be a Blake Griffin fan. It starts off with the fact I get to go see Blake in person tomorrow night in Minneapolis as he takes on the Timberwolves, there’s going to be some really cool stuff from Blake coming on Thursday (stay tuned!), and of course it’s the weekend we’ve all been waiting for.

For those lucky few of you who are going to be attending the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest in L.A. this weekend (or anyone else that just wants to be the coolest fan at their Dunk Contest party), we’ve got something just for you:

You can print out your very own QuakeGriffin.com “11” scorecard either in 8×11 or 11×17 pdf formats:

Most of you visiting the site today are coming by way of Lee Jenkins’ most recent article on Blake Griffin’s rising stardom which mentioned our work here at QuakeGriffin.com and I hope all of you finding us for the first time enjoy the site.

As a welcome here are some of the great things you can check out here at QuakeGriffin.com:

You can see highlights from Blake’s last game against Chicago, including his nasty allery-oop over Kyle Korver and classic reaction from Bill Simmons (aka @Sportsguy33) here.

You can check out the current Blake Griffin Top 10 Highlights here. Think we’re missing one of the best? Let us know in the comments here.

Do you want to be featured in the next post in our  “I saw it with my own two eyes…” series? Send us your personal recap of exactly what it was like seeing Blake play in person this season.

As always, we love to hear your feedback and any ideas you might have to improve the site so don’t be shy and tell us what you think in the comments below.
