“It’s Gonna Be Lob City”
I can’t describe how excited I am. Blake’s reaction was pretty close though:
Watch Bill Simmons aka @SportsGuy33 Dunk Fresh like @BlakeGriffin…
It had to be done…
Watch Bill Simmons aka @SportsGuy33throw down a “Quake” of his own and dunk fresh like @BlakeGriffin. (via www.subwaydunkfresh.com)

Blake Griffin has Hijacked MySpace!!!!!
I told you there would be big news today…
It’s true he’s taking over the world and he’s starting today by hijacking MySpace.com!
Hi, I’m Blake Griffin and I’m hijacking Myspace

Here’s one of the 3 videos he made with a special “Dunk Cam” strapped to his forehead to give us his point of view:
Dunk You Very Much

There’s 2 others to check out here.
Blake doesn’t just dunk though, he’s also a budding comedian:
He’s an All-Star on the court, but can he dodge the tough questions our reporter throws at him?
Blake dishes on basketball, life, plants, and… baking in this off-the-court expose with hard-hitting journalist Ben Gleib.
Blake Griffin is more than just a baller – 1st half

They also have little known facts about Blake:
He kicks it old school. His favorite video game is Super Mario Bros.
We can just imagine young Blake pretending to be Mario jumping in the infinite lives loop at the half pyramid of level 1.4 before grabbing the flag in an attempt to gain unlimited extra lives before battling King Koopa in hopes to steal away Princess Toadstool. He probably snagged some tips from older brother Taylor on this one – the game came out four years before Blake was even born. Wow. We feel old.
You can see more of Blake’s favorites here.
The Quake – Shaking Up Minnesota (2/16/11)
It was an exciting night for the QuakeGriffin.com team as Patrick had the pleasure of witnessing the Quake in person. I was fortunate enough to experience the same earlier this year in Portland but no dunks came remotely close to the pre-All-Star Game show Blake put on tonight. As he mentioned before, Patrick will have exclusive coverage to come tomorrow of this game and more. In the meantime the ridiculousness that was tonight:
The Warm Up
The Devastation
The Obligatory Game Oop
The Final Message to the Dunk “Competition”
A great game for Quake and a big win for the Clips heading into the break.

The Quake – Shaking Up Cleveland and Toronto (2/11/11) & (2/13/11)
The Blake Show and Company have lost two tough road games in a row these past couple days. First, on Friday they “helped” the horrific Cleveland Cavaliers snap their ridiculously long losing streak. However, as we get closer and closer to All-Star weekend the Human SportsCenter highlight produced the following:
Tonight Blake just about brought down the house with this lob from Baron – the dynamic duo sent Tremors throughout all of Canada with this beauty.

It looked pretty darn good from the 20th row too. You gotta love the Raptor fan POV along with the Calderon Jersey-wearing fan’s reaction to the turnover followed by Blake-inspired elation.

Here’s what you should be reading about Blake Griffin today:
Blake Griffin must stay healthy. Admittedly, it’s a massive request for anyone in a Clippers’ uniform. And someone who missed all of 2009-10 after knee surgery. But this is a plea to the basketball gods that must be heard, because Griffin saved the first half of the season, whether Andre Miller wants to believe that or not. He made people on the East Coast stay up and watch the Clippers. That’s Moses-parting-the-Red-Sea-stuff. He even awakened Baron Davis, another miracle. Quite simply, Griffin is one of a handful of players worth twice the price of admission, and what’s really surprising is he plays power forward, a position that usually doesn’t defy gravity. Most players his size have gum on their soles and are nothing more than clumsy brutes who bang and rebound. Griffin’s got some ballerina in him. A big future, too.
The Quake: Shaking up New York (2/9/11)
Blake and company are in the process of doing work in the Garden but we’re bringing you highlights as they happen.
Here Blake beats Amare down the court after a jumpshot and simply throws it down with authority as Stoudemire lays helpless below him.
Later in the second Blake gives us the Blornado signature move we’ve come to love.
Blake has to spend more time trying to not hit his head on the rim than throwing this one down on the baseline.
Blake pretty much puts a “Thank You, Have a Good Night Garden” tip of the hat to the Knicks fans. “BALLGAME” sums it up quite nice.
The Quake: Shaking up Orlando (2/8/11)
Blake struggled a bit tonight as Baron carried the load to a season-high in points. However, we had a classic Beard and Blake connection late in the third quarter. Ryan Anderson: please stop trying, it’s not worth your time.
Blake also put his ridiculous handle for a big man on display with this give-and-go (ONE HANDED) to Foye.
Quake Griffin.com Under Construction
Working on some updates to the blog, hang tight and we should be back up in time for tonight’s highlights.
