I can’t describe how excited I am. Blake’s reaction was pretty close though:
Shaq has even been quoted as saying that he hopes his son models his game after Griffin’s. “I show him Blake Griffin and I say, ‘Shareef, this is the dude you should watch and pattern your game after.’ Because my son, when he’s older, I think he’s going to have the same body type — 6-10, muscular, freakish athletically.” A player with Shaq’s size and strength and Griffin’s athleticism would certainly be a force of nature.
In a surprise to no one, especially those here, Blake is going to take home the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award.
A great quote from Coach Vinny Del Negro:
“If someone doesn’t vote for Blake, they haven’t watched a lot of basketball,” Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said before the team’s season finale against the Memphis Grizzlies on April 13.
Here they are folks and what a ride it’s been this season:
We’ve got one more extended highlight reel coming for you in the next week or so and if Blake has any big news over the summer we’ll be sure to have it for you here. Otherwise we can only hope the lockout gets figured out before we lose any opportunities to see The Quake reek havoc on the league again.

The Clippers fell to the Mavs last night but Blake did have a couple of highlights and a nice 25/17 statline.
A nice 2-handed put back dunk:
And a great spin move on Dirk:
Plus a little bonus since we missed a few games:
His huge missed dunk against the Raptors:
And the monster reach-back alley-oop against the Lakers:
Blake had a career night last night against the Washington Wizards with his first career triple-double and a stat line of 33 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in the 2 OT game.
It was also a night, surprise, full of highlights:
Shades of Amare on the pick-and-roll?
The Mo-Quake connection continues to produce buckets and highlights:
This might be my favorite Quake put-back slam of the year… (note watch in the first 2 seconds the play starts with a great Blake pass out to Mo)
Anybody see this great new commercial last night during March Madness??? AT&T joins Nike, Subway, and Kia now as Blake’s blue chip endorsements.
And he puts together a nice 9 minute, 40 dunk long montage:
